The New Mk3 LED Odeo Flare™ is the new alternative to the traditional red pyrotechnic hand-held distress flare. It is similar in size to traditional flares, but instead of using dangerous explosives to burn, it uses battery powered light emitting diodes.
Traditional flares will burn for around 30 seconds before extinguishing: the Odeo Flare™ 'burns' for around 5 hours at full illumination. Because no pyrotechnics are used, the Odeo Flare™ is totally safe when switched off, and because it uses battery power (high power lithium iron-disulphide cells), it can even be safely posted or carried in baggage on flights.

The RescueME EDF1 electronic distress flare is made with highly advanced LEDs and super-efficient circuitry resulting in a constant level of light output for the duration of the user replaceable battery life.

The light output is a beam of over 30° throughout the full 360° azimuth, providing in excess of 6 times more light coverage than other electronic flares. It is also visible from the air because the light is also distributed throughout the hemisphere above the unit

Unlike single use pyrotechnic flares the RescueME EDF1 can be used repeatedly in any of its four modes, ensuring continued visibility is maintained over a longer period. The unit is both safe to store and operate while also eliminating any worries associated with disposal.

The compact size and rugged design means it is the perfect safety product for a grab bag or life raft and can easily be carried on person.

Life Cells store safety equipment including, flares, air horn/whistle, torch, heliograph / mirror. There is also room for your wallet, keys, phone, sun cream, a hand held VHF radio and drinking water.  The contents (not supplied) are all kept dry and safe in the Life Cell’s compartment ready for an emergency.

Once the vessel has been abandoned, the Life Cell help to keep people together in the water.  The units come with lanyards which may be used to secure users to the Life Cell in the case of fatigue or high seas.

Each Life Cell comes with a mounting bracket designed to allow the unit to float free in the event of a vessel sinking.
