Windex advertises itself as "the standard wind indicator around the world". The instruments have a light, balanced vane with a large fin area which enables the wind direction indicator to respond quickly an accurately to windspeeds - even those as low as 0.2 knots. Tacking tabs can be utilised to monitor the apparent wind direction for port and starboard tacking. The Windex vane and tacking tabs are highly visable at night as they are fitted with reflective markers. For ocean racing and cruising the Windex 10 is recommended which is the standard model, whilst the heavier WindexEXL is available for masts over fifteen metres in height. The Windex Dinghy's application is self explanatory, whilst the Windex 10 is recommended for small cruising craft. Marine Scene, Cardiff can supply you with a Windex instrument for your boat.
On top all over the world, WINDEX, with their sapphire jewel suspension, are the world's leading wind indicators. The Windex 10 is designed for small cruising and one design sailing boats
